Started by Lee and Nancy Alt in 2003 Blackfoot Timber Products, LLC is one of several mills owned and operated by family members who's experience in the lumber industry from harvesting to custom mill work dates back generations.

Their longevity in the ever changing, always competitive lumber market is a testement to their commitment to top quality products and services.

Blackfoot Timber Products, LLC has a vast inventory of top quality reclaimed barnwood, beams, hardware and other
architecturaly enhanceing material.

As with all Blackfoot Timber Products, reclaimed materials are available in a wide range of sizes, such as beams rangeing from 4x4 up to 12x16 and beyond. As well as all standard 1 by, 2 by, and 3 by demensions, these products can be milled to your special needs.

These material are being used on some of the country's finest homes, by top architects. The materials are as rich in history as they are in texture and color.
Architects, builders, and home owners across the country are using reclaimed beams in thier projects for a variety of reasons.

The primary reason is typically the patina. Reclaimed beams have weathered to a difficult to imitate finish. The grays, browns and other inherant colors offer a look that looks great with nothing more than a light power wash.

The majority of reclaimed users like either a circle sawn, band sawn, or hand hewn finish.

Hand Hewn Cants (log hewn flat on 2 sides) are proving to be a very popular choice for exterior finish. the outer 2 to 3 inches of the hewn faces are removed and installed as siding.

Mixing species and regions from which the logs are recovered provides a pleasing mix of patina and texture.
1X boards can be used for siding, sofit, wainscot, ceiling boards, flooring, cabinets, or even trim. They were origanally siding, loft floors, interior partisions, or roof deck.

2X material can be used for exposed framing, decking, or resawn for siding and other applications. Sizes vary: a 2x6 can range from 1 1/2" to 2 1/4" thick or from 5 1/4to 6 1/2" wide.

Demensional consistancy in reclaimed wood as it comes off a barn or out of a building is rare.
