The High Plains RC&D Association, Inc. of Buffalo, Oklahoma is requesting bids for the purchase of the following items:

1. Portable Band Saw Mill with the following general specifications: Log Capacity (30 36 Diameter x 18-20)
Trailer Mounted with remote operator station 50 65 horsepower (Diesel Engine Preferred) 400 800 Board feet per hour capability Log handling/ lifting/ clamps/ log turner

2. Solar Drying Kiln Kit with the following general specification: 2000 3000 Board feet capacity If electrical is required, single phase is preferred

3. Planer/ Moulder with the following general specifications: Single phase power is preferred Tooling to include Tongue and Groove, Crown Molding, Log Cabin siding, Shiplap, and Quarter Round.

Bidders should include as much information as possible about the machines being offered. Bidders may bid on all three items as a whole, or individually. Bids should include cost of delivery to Vici, Oklahoma and should include the cost of a maximum of two (2) days training on the band saw and one (1) day each on the drying kiln and planer.

This project is funded with Federal Grant Funds. Unites States manufactured machines and equipment are required, unless the equipment is not manufactured in the United States or the cost of buying American made exceeds 25% of the cost of foreign equipment of like quality, provided adequate service is available. The estimated total cost of all items is not expected to exceed $71,920. High Plains RC&D Association, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Full payment will be made to successful bidders upon delivery and training on the use of the equipment. Bids will be opened at 10:00 AM on January 5, 2010.

The successful bids are expected to be awarded by January 20, 2010.

The successful bidder may not necessarily be the lowest bidder. The Association seeks to obtain the best equipment possible with the available funds. All equipment must be new. Successful bidders will be required to execute non-collusion affidavit and provide a bill of sale at the time of delivery. Delivery times will be negotiated. Bids should be mailed to High Plains RC&D Association, Inc. Box 353, Buffalo, OK 73834. Envelopes should be marked BID. Bids maybe faxed on bid date, prior to 10:00 AM to (580) 735-2536.
