This event was planned as a small invitational demonstration of the Roll Off Slash Bins and Log Bunks with the Cambium RFID system. By the day of the event, the list of both attendees and demonstrators had grown to about 100 people. Here are some highlights from last year's event.

The Innovative Forestry Technology & Equipments Workshop started as a demonstration of the RFID project between the Smallwood Utilization Network, Cambium (from Germany), All Woody and others.
The RFID tags were attached to the Slash Bins. These are passive chips, used to uniquely identify each bin.

Each nail contains a passive RFID tag. The tag holds an identification number that can be read by a hand-held device. By placing the the tag in the end of a log, that log can be tracked from forest to market.
